Industry NewsDobell joins European Senior Masters sponsor line-up at La Manga
Dobell has been announced as a sponsor of the 2026 Champions UK plc European Senior Masters, placing the British online menswear brand on tournament shirts and in front of golf audiences at a Legends Tour event at La Manga Club in Spain from 5 to 8 November that carries a record prize fund. The sponsorship also includes giveaways offering fans the chance to win tournament shirts signed by the 2026 players.
The tournament offers a record prize fund of £299,800 (€357,700), with £44,970 (€53,600) going to the winner. Host Peter Baker, a former Ryder Cup player, will compete, and the field includes Paul Lawrie, Michael Campbell, Richard Bland and Thomas Bjørn, with Jamie Donaldson returning to defend the title.
Dobell joins fellow event supporters Computacenter, Coca-Cola, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa, Air Services, Murcia Today, TKO Radio and La Manga Life.
Dobell is a UK online menswear retailer headquartered in Eastbourne and founded by Mike Dobell, specialising in formalwear, tailoring and occasion wear, with affordable suits, tuxedos and accessories.
The European Senior Masters is a Legends Tour event staged at La Manga Club in Spain, opening with a Pro-Am on 5 November and closing with a professionals-only final round on 8 November.
Mike Dobell, founder of Dobell, said the company is delighted to sponsor the tournament and join the other businesses supporting it, and that Peter Baker hosting and a field of Major champions and Ryder Cup players promise a fantastic week of golf.
Dobell added that golf is a big part of many of its customers’ lives, so the partnership lets the company share that interest with them, introduce the brand to new audiences and give fans the chance to take home a piece of the tournament.
The sponsorship carries a documented commercial link: Champions (UK) plc, whose name is on the tournament, took a significant equity stake in Dobell this year as part of a global partnership, according to FashionNetwork.
For the sector, the sponsorship shows a consumer brand appearing at an event named after its investor, which makes the deal a showcase of an existing commercial relationship as well as a golf audience play.
