Industry NewsClub secures four-year League of Ireland soft drink partnership
The League of Ireland has appointed Club as its official soft drink partner in a four-year agreement running through the end of the 2029 season, according to Sport for Business.
The deal covers all three League of Ireland divisions, spanning the SSE Airtricity Men's and Women's Premier Divisions and the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division. Club branding will appear across league competitions, with activations designed to enhance matchday experiences and connect with supporters through the league's digital platforms.
The partnership includes Club becoming the official sponsor of League of Ireland match officials, providing dedicated support for referees across all competitions. The agreement reflects growing commercial interest in Irish domestic football amid rising attendances and broadcast reach.
Sean Kavanagh, FAI commercial director, said the partnership provides meaningful support for the league's continued growth. "We're excited to work with such a strong, authentic Irish brand that shares our ambition to connect with fans and elevate the domestic game," he stated.
Mark Scanlon, League of Ireland director, emphasised the long-term commitment demonstrates the league's growing appeal to major Irish brands. "This partnership demonstrates the momentum of our league across both the men's and women's games," he noted. "We're also particularly pleased that the sponsorship includes support for our match officials, who are an integral part of the League of Ireland."
Stephen Cramp, marketing director of Britvic Ireland, which owns Club, highlighted the brand's cultural alignment with domestic football. "Club has always stood for flavour, fun and Irish realness, and there's nothing more real or more passionate than the League of Ireland," he said.
Club joins SSE Airtricity, Rockshore, Extra.ie, Evoke.ie, Virgin Media, Umbro and EA Sports in the League of Ireland's commercial portfolio.
