TG4 extends LGFA sponsorship and broadcast partnership to 2032 in landmark five-year deal

TG4 and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association have announced a landmark five-year extension to their sponsorship and broadcast partnership, confirming TG4 as the title sponsor and broadcaster of the All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships through to the end of the 2032 season in a deal that cements one of the longest-standing relationships in Irish sport.

Sport for Business reported that the announcement was made at Croke Park during the official launch of the 2026 TG4 All-Ireland Championships, with both organisations marking 25 years of collaboration since TG4 first partnered with the LGFA in 2001.

What began with coverage of just six games has grown into one of the most comprehensive broadcast commitments in Irish women's sport, with 49 LGFA fixtures broadcast across TG4 linear television, TG4 Player, the TG4 App and the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel in 2025 alone.

Rónán Ó Coisdealbha, TG4 head of sport, said the broadcaster wanted to extend the contract to support long-term planning for both organisations, noting that they started with six games in 2001 and are now at 49 games across all competitions, and that the priority is getting the game to as many people as possible. He also highlighted that the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel now attracts more than 93,000 subscribers worldwide, with all senior games available free-to-air on either linear television or YouTube.

Lyn Savage, LGFA CEO, said the extension brings the partnership to a whole new level, reflecting on the growth of the sport since she competed as a player and noting the importance of young players now being able to see themselves in the players they watch every week.

The 2026 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship begins on 7 June, with the finals scheduled at Croke Park on 2 August.
