Industry NewsSisk backs Netball Ireland women through new sponsorship agreement
Construction company Sisk has been confirmed as the official sponsor of Netball Ireland's women's national team, providing financial support to enhance athlete training and development. The agreement comes as The Emeralds prepare for two international competitions later this year.
According to a release by the Irish Post, the sponsorship will support the squad ahead of the Netball World Cup Qualifiers (Europe) in Scotland in September and the Singapore Nations Cup in November. The announcement was made to coincide with International Women in Engineering Day.
Netball Ireland said the partnership aligns with its ambitions to strengthen support for the women's programme as players continue preparing for international competition. According to the organisation, The Emeralds compete at the highest level while many players balance full-time employment or study and frequently self-fund their international commitments.
Lynette Wall, president of Netball Ireland, said: "Sisk's investment in The Emeralds, Netball Ireland's international squad, fits with our vision of fostering female talent and breaking down barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields."
According to Sisk, the partnership reflects the company's commitment to supporting women in both sport and construction through long-term investment in talent development.
Maria Kennedy, head of legal at Sisk, said: "Netball Ireland's women's team embodies the ambition, leadership and resilience we champion in Sisk so our partnership with The Emeralds is a natural fit."
She added: "We are very proud to support a team of female athletes who excel on the court and also champion greater representation for women across sport and construction, inspiring the next generation."
Netball Ireland has more than 3,000 registered members across the country, and the organisation will now work alongside Sisk as the national team prepares for a significant period of international competition. The sponsorship adds another corporate partnership supporting the continued visibility and development of women's sport in Ireland.
