ScottsMiracle-Gro expands sponsorship with Columbus Crew stadium naming rights

ScottsMiracle-Gro Company has expanded its long-term sponsorship of Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew by taking over the naming rights for the club’s stadium. Beginning in the 2026 season, the venue will be rebranded as ScottsMiracle-Gro Field.

Headquartered in Marysville, Ohio, ScottsMiracle-Gro has partnered with the Crew for over 15 years as the official lawn care and gardening sponsor. This collaboration has included maintaining the team’s natural grass surfaces, in-stadium promotions, and community projects such as refurbishing local soccer fields.

The stadium naming rights deal deepens the sponsorship, with both organisations focusing on youth engagement and promoting outdoor activity. ScottsMiracle-Gro will become a presenting sponsor of the Crew’s ‘Soccer in Schools’ programme, providing free educational resources to local school districts and encouraging soccer participation.

Columbus Crew president of business operations, Mary Shepro, said: “Strengthened by our long-term partnership and local connection, ScottsMiracle-Gro and the Crew share a deep passion for our fans, our sport and Central Ohio that perfectly reflects how we strive to represent our club and our city through the global game.”

The new naming-rights agreement follows the conclusion of Lower.com’s previous deal, under which the stadium was known as Lower.com Field. Lower remains a club sponsor under a new multi-year agreement.
