Global technology company Lenovo has announced a partnership with David Beckham to develop AI-driven solutions across the football ecosystem, building on its existing position as official technology partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.

Sport for Business reported that the collaboration carries particular significance for Ireland, where Lenovo maintains a strong operational presence across facilities in Dublin and Limerick, supporting global business services, supply chain operations and high-value technology functions within its EMEA network.

The partnership will see Beckham contribute to Lenovo's work on sports-focused AI applications targeting team performance, fan experience, operational efficiency and new commercial revenue streams for clubs and governing bodies.

Beckham said football will always be defined by talent, instinct and hard work, but that AI and data are helping to understand the sport more deeply, shaping how players and coaches prepare and how fans connect with the game, adding that he looks forward to learning more about Lenovo's work which is expanding access to the game.

Yuanqing Yang, chairman and CEO of Lenovo, said Beckham is not only a global figure across football, business and culture but someone who understands the power of innovation to transform the world, making him the ideal partner to demonstrate how smarter AI can drive better outcomes across life and work.

A global marketing campaign featuring Beckham is set to launch in May, one month ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, positioning Lenovo at the intersection of sport, enterprise technology and commercial brand strategy.

Lenovo is a US$69 billion revenue technology company ranked 196th on the Fortune Global 500, serving customers across 180 markets worldwide.
