Industry NewsLayher UK extends principal sponsorship of ScaffEx
Layher UK has signed a new three-year agreement to remain principal sponsor of ScaffEx, giving the scaffolding manufacturer continued top-tier visibility at the UK's dedicated scaffolding and access industry exhibition through to 2030. The renewal follows Layher's original three-year sponsorship, which began with ScaffEx's first event in Belfast in 2024 and continued through the 2025 and 2026 editions in Manchester. NASC, which organises the exhibition, confirmed the extension this week. ScaffEx26 took place at Manchester Central on 10 and 11 September, with Layher again serving as principal sponsor.
Layher UK is the British arm of German manufacturer Layher, a family-owned scaffolding and access systems producer headquartered in Güglingen with more than 1,900 employees across some 140 locations worldwide. Layher UK has operated in the British market since 1979 from its base in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
NASC is the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation, the UK trade body for the scaffolding industry, which also oversees training body CISRS and organises the ScaffEx exhibition.
The renewal extends a sponsorship that has run alongside ScaffEx since its first edition, giving Layher continuity of association as the exhibition establishes itself as a fixed annual event rather than a one-off launch.
Layher UK managing director Sean Pike said he could not be prouder that the company had retained its sponsorship for another three years, describing the partnership as a reflection of the people behind it and of the trust built with customers, partners and the wider industry through the event.
NASC and CISRS group chief executive Clive Dickin said the long-term backing is what allows the organisation to keep building the event, framing sustained sponsorship commitment as central to ScaffEx's continued growth rather than a one-off funding boost.
For the sector, the extension illustrates how a single manufacturer sponsor can anchor an industry exhibition through its early growth years, moving the event, now in its third edition, from a Belfast launch to an established annual fixture in Manchester with sponsorship secured out to a fourth consecutive term.
