Industry NewsKinisla extends title sponsorship of Listowel Food Fair
Kinisla has announced it will continue as title sponsor of the Listowel Food Fair, taking place from 5 to 9 November, extending a long-standing association and giving the farmer-owned dairy processor a visible role at one of Ireland’s longest-running food festivals, in the Kerry town where its manufacturing roots lie. The festival is now in its 31st edition, and its farming seminar takes place on Monday 9 November with Niall Collins TD, followed that night by the presentation of the Best Factory Heifer Award.
Kinisla, formerly Kerry Dairy Ireland, is a vertically integrated dairy and nutritional ingredients business headquartered in Tralee, Co Kerry, and majority owned by Kerry Co-op. It processes more than 1.2 billion litres of milk a year, employs more than 1,700 people, works with 2,600 family farms and generated turnover of €1.4 billion in 2025.
The Listowel Food Fair was established in 1995 and aims to celebrate Kerry’s culinary offerings and cultural heritage, with programme curator Jimmy Deenihan leading its programming. It has evolved from a traditional agricultural fair into a specialised food fair.
Pat Murphy, CEO of Kinisla, said: “Kinisla is proud to continue its long-standing support of the Listowel Food Fair.” He added that the festival has grown into one of Ireland’s best-known food events, recognising the farmers, producers and businesses at the heart of the food industry.
Jimmy Deenihan, programme curator of the Listowel Food Fair, thanked Kinisla on behalf of the festival committee for its continued support, describing the fair as a celebration of every element of the Irish food chain, from farm to fork and tide to table.
This is the first Listowel Food Fair under the Kinisla name, which was unveiled in Listowel in May alongside a €300 million five-year investment programme, according to Agriland.
The title position sits within a sponsor line-up that includes Fáilte Ireland, Kerry County Council, FBD Insurance and Garvey’s SuperValu, placing the dairy processor beside public sector, financial and retail backers.
For the sector, the continuation shows how a farmer-owned processor uses a long-running regional food festival to connect with suppliers, communities and consumers in its home county.
