Irish sponsorship market hits record growth in 2025
Ireland’s sponsorship market recorded its busiest quarter on record in Q2 2025, with deal volumes jumping nearly 50% year-on-year, according to ONSIDE. The first half of the year marked the most active period since tracking began in 2017, fuelled by surging demand in both sport and non-sport sectors.
Sport dominated activity, led by GAA partnerships such as Toyota’s landmark deal with the Camogie Association and Allianz’s extended championship sponsorship. Rights holders are increasingly unbundling assets, with brands pursuing multiple properties to amplify visibility—while women’s competitions attract rising investment.
Vodafone overtook Guinness as the most appealing sports sponsor, with Lidl retaining third for its LGFA backing. In non-sports, Three, Electric Ireland and SuperValu maintained top positions, while Lidl’s ‘We Care Back’ campaign drove strong recognition in cause-related sponsorship.
The findings point to a market where scale, authenticity and community impact are defining how brands win consumer attention.
