Hummel extends Korea Sepak Takraw Association sponsorship through 2027

Hummel has extended its official sponsorship with the Korea Sepak Takraw Association through 2027, continuing equipment support for the South Korean national team, according to The Chosun Daily.

The global sports brand, operating through Dae Won Inos in South Korea, signed the contract extension at Hummel Korea's headquarters in Nowon-gu, Seoul on 23 February. Kim Young-jin, president of the Korea Sepak Takraw Association, and Byun Suk-hwa, chairman of Dae Won Inos, attended alongside key officials from both organisations.

Hummel established official sponsorship with the Korea Sepak Takraw Association in 2023, building trust over three years by continuously supporting the national team with uniforms and equipment tailored to the sport's competitive environment and characteristics.

Under the extended sponsorship, the association will continue receiving support for official uniforms, apparel and equipment worn by the national sepak takraw team. The year 2026 will host major events including the 20th Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, the World Championships and the Sepak Takraw World Cup.

Kim Young-jin said the continued partnership with Hummel is built on mutual trust. "As important international competitions approach, the association will do its best to ensure athletes can perform at their peak," he stated.

Byun Suk-hwa said the role of uniforms is significant for sepak takraw due to the sport's dynamic movement requirements. "We will actively support the national team to deliver their best performances on the international stage," he noted.

Hummel will hold branding rights for various competitions and official events hosted by the association, with sponsorship extending to both senior and youth national teams. The sepak takraw national team will wear Hummel uniforms when competing at the 20th Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan, scheduled for September.
