DoorDash joins FIFA as official tournament supporter
DoorDash has been appointed as Official Tournament Supporter for both the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, marking a major international sponsorship move for the US-based delivery giant.
The partnership spans nine countries – the United States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and the United Kingdom – and leverages the company’s global portfolio, including Deliveroo and Wolt.
Under the agreement, DoorDash will provide fans with access to on-demand food pick-up and delivery services, enhanced by localised campaigns, digital activations, and community-driven experiences. The brand will also serve as the Official Restaurant Reservations Platform Supporter, allowing fans in select US cities to discover and book tables at local eateries while watching tournament matches.
FIFA World Cup 2002 winner Ronaldinho has been engaged for a digital campaign to promote fan connection and participation, reinforcing DoorDash’s global presence and cultural relevance.
FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai said DoorDash’s involvement will offer fans innovative ways to celebrate the tournaments, which will unite billions globally. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest standalone sporting event in history, hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. In 2027, the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be hosted in Brazil, the tournament’s first South American venue.
DoorDash Chief Marketing Officer Kofi Amoo-Gottfried added that the collaboration allows the company to combine its operational strengths with sport, delivering convenience and engagement for fans worldwide. Across digital platforms and live events, DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt will be highly visible, connecting fans to the tournaments and enhancing match-day experiences.
