UK-based online trading and investments platform CMC Markets has signed a multi-year agreement to become the main club partner and front-of-shirt sponsor of Everton Football Club, as reported by Finance Magnates, with the CMC branding to appear across the men's, women's and Under-21 squads.
The company's branding will also feature at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Goodison Park and Finch Farm, as well as across Everton's matchday and digital platforms, giving CMC Markets sustained visibility across the full breadth of the club's commercial estate.
The partnership forms part of CMC's broader strategy to raise awareness of its financial services business beyond its traditional trading operations, targeting long-term investors, active traders and institutional clients across its investing, trading and wealth businesses.
CMC Markets and Everton also plan to collaborate on financial literacy initiatives in the Liverpool City Region, working with Everton in the Community and The People's Learning Trust to provide educational resources and practical learning opportunities to residents across the area.
Lord Peter Cruddas, founder and CEO of CMC Markets, said the partnership reflected shared values between the financial services firm and the football club. He said the company was proud to partner with a club that shares our core values, identity and passion.
Andrew Middleton, Everton's president of business operations, described the agreement as a commercially significant development for the club. He said partnerships of this scale help Everton strengthen revenues, build a more sustainable platform for success and support our ambitions on and off the pitch.
CMC Markets linked the sponsorship to Everton's move to Hill Dickinson Stadium, describing it as part of the club's long-term development, with the partnership to be promoted through CMC's "For the Passion" marketing platform.
The deal follows a period of strong financial performance for CMC Markets, which recently reported a 20% increase in annual pre-tax profit and said it was continuing to diversify its business through institutional services, investing products and technology partnerships.
The agreement reflects a growing pattern of regulated financial services firms using Premier League shirt sponsorship to build mainstream brand recognition and demonstrate commercial credibility to a broader consumer and institutional audience.
