Dundalk-based regional beef supplier Carnivore Meats has been announced as the new main sponsor of Sean O'Mahonys GAA club, entering a three-year partnership that places the company's branding on the club's first team jerseys and reinforces a commercial commitment to grassroots GAA in County Louth.

The Irish Independent reported that the deal was announced at a club event attended by Sean O'Mahonys players and representatives of Carnivore Meats, with the partnership described as a significant boost for the club's continued investment in its teams, facilities and community programmes.

Carnivore Meats was founded in 2016 by Hugh Murphy, a former Sean O'Mahonys player and experienced wholesale butcher, and has grown from a small family-owned operation into one of the leading beef suppliers in the region.

Pat O Brien, chairperson of Sean O'Mahonys, said the club is delighted to welcome Carnivore Meats as its new main sponsor for the next three years, thanking Hugh Murphy and his team for their support and describing the partnership as a fantastic boost that will help the club continue to invest in its teams, facilities and community programmes.

Hugh Murphy, founder of Carnivore Meats, said the company is incredibly proud to partner with Sean O'Mahonys GAA club, adding that as a family business it understands the importance of community and supporting local groups, and that he looks forward to a successful three years working alongside the club and seeing the partnership grow.

The deal is notable for its personal dimension, with Murphy's history as a former club player adding a community character to what is also a commercial arrangement between a growing regional food business and one of Louth's senior GAA clubs.
