Butternut Box partners with Maxi Zoo to expand Irish retail presence

Fresh pet food company Butternut Box has agreed a retail partnership with Maxi Zoo Ireland, expanding its presence from direct-to-consumer sales into physical retail distribution across Ireland’s pet care sector.

Business Plus reported that the agreement will see Butternut Box products stocked in 35 Maxi Zoo Ireland stores, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s retail expansion strategy.

Founded with Irish involvement and co-founded by Dubliner Kevin Glynn, Butternut Box has built a strong online subscription model delivering fresh, human-quality meals to dogs across Ireland and Europe.

The company stated that its meals are designed to support improved canine health outcomes, with internal research indicating that 84% of customers reported positive changes after switching to fresh food diets.

Kevin Glynn, co-founder of Butternut Box, said: “After building such strong momentum online, launching into Irish retail is a huge milestone for us, and a particularly proud one given how important Ireland has always been to Butternut Box.”
