Allianz Ireland has become the new title club sponsor of Terenure College RFC's men's team for the 2026/27 season, extending the insurer's presence across Irish sport into one of the country's leading club rugby environments. Allianz branding will take pride of place on the Terenure men's jersey throughout the Energia All-Ireland League campaign, making its competitive debut this Saturday, September 26, when Terenure travel to Temple Hill to face Cork Constitution.

Allianz Ireland is the Irish arm of German-headquartered insurer Allianz SE, operating in Ireland and Northern Ireland for more than 100 years as one of the country's largest multi-line general insurers, employing more than 500 people and serving upwards of half a million customers. The company reports annual Irish turnover in excess of €450 million.

Terenure College RFC is a Dublin rugby club founded in 1940, based in Dublin 6W, and one of the country's strongest senior clubs competing in the Energia All-Ireland League, maintaining a significant participation and community base across all age groups. The club does not disclose sponsorship-specific financial terms.

The deal links the top and bottom of Allianz's rugby sponsorship activity: the company already holds naming rights to Allianz Stadium at Twickenham, and this agreement places the brand directly into the weekly rhythms of Irish domestic club rugby.

Allianz Ireland head of marketing Mark Brennan said sport plays an important role in bringing people together and creating strong, connected communities, and that Terenure combines an impressive sporting tradition with a strong community around the club, from its youngest players through to the senior team.

Terenure head of sponsorship Brian Moroney said the partnership was a fantastic affiliation for the club that strongly aligns with its values and ambition, while club president John Cadell said the backing gives the squad and coaching team real momentum heading into the new campaign.

For the sector, the deal adds to Allianz's wider Irish sport portfolio, illustrating how a single insurer builds sponsorship depth across professional, Olympic and now domestic club rugby, with the real opportunity for Terenure lying in activating the partnership through its wider club community rather than jersey branding alone.
