The Sponsorship of the Year award is the Supreme Award and sets the benchmark for sponsorship excellence in Ireland.

You cannot enter this award directly as the trophy will be awarded to one outstanding winner selected from the winners of the 'Best Sponsorship' categories.

This category recognises the brand or rightsholder that has made an outstanding impact on society and the wider community as a whole via their ongoing sponsorship activities. This may be a specific sponsorship campaign or an all-round sponsorship strategy.

This category recognises the agency or consultancy team that has worked best to achieve cut through, innovation and differentiation in sponsorship. The team will have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in the creation and delivery of sponsorship strategies and/or campaigns.


   
BEST SPONSORSHIP TEAM - RIGHTSHOLDER

This category recognises the rightsholder team that has worked best to achieve cut through, innovation and differentiation in sponsorship. The team will have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in the creation and delivery of sponsorship strategies and/or campaigns.

   
BEST SPONSORSHIP TEAM - BRAND

This category recognises the brand team that has worked best to achieve cut through, innovation and differentiation in sponsorship. The team will have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in the creation and delivery of sponsorship strategies and/or campaigns.


   
RISING STAR IN SPONSORSHIP

This award is open to an individual from an agency, rightsholder or brand with less than five years’ experience in their profession. The judges will look for evidence of outstanding achievement in handling ordinary and extra ordinary duties around the sponsorship campaigns that they have been involved in - including their creativity, initiative and end results.


   
BEST SPORTING EVENT SPONSORSHIP

This award recognises the best sport event sponsorship programme executed in Ireland over the last 12 months.

   
BEST SPORTS TEAM OR ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP

This award recognises the best sponsorship across multiple formats in Ireland over the last 12 months.

   
BEST LOW BUDGET SPONSORSHIP

This award recognises the sponsorship programme in Ireland over the past 12 months which best achieved its goals on a limited budget. For the purpose of these Awards, we have defined a ‘low budget sponsorship’ as one with a spend of less than €50,000.

This award recognises excellence in the use of PR in sponsorship activation.

   
BEST USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

This award recognises excellence in the area of sponsorship activation through social media.
